CLIMBING
CHALLENGING ACCESS
Ellen started climbing to enrich her BASE-jumping possibilities. In her opinion, some of the most interesting BASE jumps are the ones that require a challenging access. Ellen prefers the traditional / crack climbing, using Camalots as protection and leaving little to no trace behind.
PARAGLIDING
SPEEDRIDING
THE DREAM OF FLIGHT
Inspired by watching her father fly, Ellen knew at an early age that she was bound to chase
the dream of flight. Shortly after learning how to skydive, she recognized the appeal and
benefits of paragliding. Ellen states: “Paragliding has taught me to understand the weather
patterns which is extremely helpful when BASE jumping.”
After moving to Chamonix, Ellen recognized that through speedriding she would be able
to ski (and fly) the mountainous terrain that is rarely touched by skiers. Ellen loves the
challenge of multi-tasking the two disciplines of skiing and flying; finding it as much of a
mental sport as it is a physical sport.
